Fashi-off's alphabet : Z = ZigZag, Missoni's signature

L'amore senza fine di due persone che dura da più di 50 anni, capace di insidiarsi ovunque, trama dopo trama, filo su filo. E' l'amore di Ottavio e Rosita Missoni che fa nascere quei particolari e colorati zig-zag, che danno movimento, leggerezza e allegria. Nel 1958 presentano alla Rinascente le loro prime collezioni sotto il nome di Milano-Simpathy per poi trasformarsi nell'etichetta Missoni. La storia è lunga, sempre in ascesa, gli incontri con Anna Piaggi , con Diana Vreeland, le prime sfilate, tra cui quella acquatica a Milano nella piscina Solari, i contatti con il mercato americano, quello giapponese, i riconoscimenti internazionali. Nel frattempo le opere patchwork di Ottavio vengono paragonate a vere opere di arte contemporanea. "I Missoni vestono la gente per la vera vita, le loro strutture sono elementari, cariche soltanto di disegni e di colori che saltano fuori ad ogni stagione più prepotenti che mai"si scrive nelle riviste a metà degli anni '70. Negli anni '80 Milano diventa la città simbolo della moda italiana e Ottavio e Rosita sono tra gli artefici di questa rinascita, i loro "arazzi" vengono esposti a Venezia e nei migliori musei di tutto il mondo, la loro moda è semplice ma carica di nuova vita. Collezione dopo collezione nuove donne di ogni ceto e gusto ne vengono attratte, il lavoro a maglia semplice e borghese ha nuovi connotati innalzati dalla qualità e dai mille colori. Nuove sfide per il teatro gli attendono. Dopo un riconoscimento voluto dal Pitti Immagine di Firenze esce "Missonologia" una bibbia che testimonia lo stile italiano e la moda degli ultimi quaranta anni. E' giunto il momento di lasciare il posto ai figli, che grazie all'amore e la passione per la moda, contagiato dai genitori hanno saputo dare lo stesso contributo elevando il valore della famiglia come il più importante e imprenscindibile. Una famiglia da cui imparare tanto, partendo dallo stile, dalla riservatezza e della qualità del lavoro svolto. Dove lo zig-zag non rappresenta incertezza nel seguire una direzione, ma un punto fermo, la loro firma.
