For somebody not elegant enough, for others an essential point.
Ever associated to the marine mood, stripes are been protagonist of more elegant styles from the beginning of the '70s.
One of my favorite SS11 fashion shows was the Jil Sander one, where stripes are been the most important theme of the collection. Raf Simons created long voluminous skirts signed by colored or black stripes print on technical or rich fabrics like nylon and organza. I started from here.
I loved the Prada's ones, so electric than seems to be psychedelic; the Sonia Rikyel ones, queen of the 70s knitwear striped; the Moschino's one in blazer, skirts and tops; and at the end Junya Watanabe ones in asymmetric dresses.
'80 reminiscence for Gianfranco Ferrè and his beautiful shirts and skirts.
Stripes ever inspired me, and I hope that can inspire you for the next season. These are just some suggestions, I leave to you the style!

Per alcuni sono poco eleganti, per altri sono un punto essenziale della moda minimal.
Associate da sempre allo stile marina, le righe hanno saputo appropriarsi anche di uno stile più elegante già dagli anni '70. Una delle collezioni che mi ha colpito maggiormente nelle ultime sfilate SS11 è quella di Jil Sander dove le righe la fanno da padrona.
Raf Simons ha creato gonne lunghe voluminose e rigide segnati da geometrie rigate di ogni colore stampate su tessuti tecnici e preziosi come l'organza. Sono partita da qui.
Mi piacciono quelle di Prada così elettriche da essere quasi psichedeliche, quelle di Sonia Rikyel regina incontrastata delle righe nella maglieria negli anni '70; quelle di Moschino su blazer e gonne e top; quelle di Junya Watanabe su abiti asimmetrici.
Una reminiscenza legata al Ferrè degli anni '80 e alle sue camicie e gonne.
Le righe mi hanno sempre ispirato e spero ispirino anche voi per la prossima stagione. Queste sono solo idee, a voi lo stile.
