Her Majesty and some Royal secrets: Diamond Jubilee

Chi il mese scorso ha avuto l'opportunità di sfogliare Vogue UK, si è certamente imbattuto in una pagina davvero geniale.
Un foglio colorato ideato in onore del giubileo che rappresenta un excursus delle mise della Regina d'Inghilterra: Sua Maestà la Regina Elisabetta. Da un'accurata e attentissima analisi degli outfit delle Sue occasioni pubbliche, è emerso che il suo colore preferito è il Blue con un bel 29%, seguito dalle stampe floreali indossate in primavera con il 13%, dal verde e il crema con l'11% anche se non troppo commerciale, il rosa e il viola in tutte le loro declinazioni (10% per entrambi). Ultimi posti della classifica occupati da nero e beige, solo per occasioni considerata da Lei davvero poco speciali. W il colore, w la Regina che per il giubileo dei sui 60 anni di regno, non farà di certo mancare delle celebrazioni in tipico stile british e i suoi sudditi sono già tutti pronti con manifestazioni, mostre (la più significativa è quella alla National Portrait Gallery), oggetti curiosi e bizzarri, edizioni limitate, concerti, vetrine a tema, slogan e qualsivoglia trovata di marketing pubblicitario.

Anche le riviste di moda danno il loro contributo, creando editoriale dedicati allo stile della Regina, ai suoi gioielli e alla sua eleganza da "nonnina" per bene. L'ultimo numero di Grazia Uk dedica un intero servizio alla più stylish delle star del momento Jessy J in versione Regina, con riferimenti alla tanto amata Union Jack, fino alla tanto contestata t-shirt dei Sex Pistols, famosi per "God Save the Queen".

Sul sito di Asos poi le sorprese non finiscono, oltre ad una selezionatissima serie di capi in tipico stile British se vi armerete di forbici, colla e cartoncino, beh potete crearvi la vostra bellissima corona e vivere anche voi un giorno da Regina. E ora qualche curiosità che riguarda la tanto amata nonnina del Principe William ed Henry, lo sapevate che non indossa mai le scarpe se prima non le ha provate una delle sue cameriere di fiducia? E pensate un po' che per avere una silhouette perfetta indossa sotto una spalla della giacca una mini spallina che equilibra il dislivello tra le le spalle causato dalla lunghezza diversa delle due braccia, una vera e propria perfettina no?
E dopo "The Queen" in cui abbiamo scoperto una donna severa ma con un senso dello humor non indifferente, possiamo concludere che questa elegante Signora ci piace davvero tanto, soprattutto per aver rilanciato il colore giallo, ormai dichiarato defunto da tempo. Dio salvi la Regina dunque, l'inimitabile e autentica Elisabeth.

King Karl and the Chanel Cruise Collection

Alla corte di re Karl a Versailles brilla un sole caldo e accecante.
Le sue muse di corte sono tutte lì in abiti da cocktail che aspettano trepidanti di assistere al nuovo spettacolo che mannequins longilinee daranno per loro. Sono attrici di spessore, personaggi da red carpet, altre sono intelletuali, qualcuna fa parte dello showbiz, altre semplici modelle in meritato riposo, altre ancore monelle rock star dall'aria ribelle. Il giardino è imbadito a festa come la tavola opulenta di fruuta, dolci e fiori dell'ultima regina dei capricci, la bella Marie Antoniette, o quella di una rapper senza scrupoli come M.I.A. (Bad girl - la sound track selezionata per l'evento).
Una sfilata moderna e successiva, mai convenzionale eppure sempre fedele allo stile della maison francese.
Abiti di voile leggero dai colori pastello, abbinati a sneackers con platform di rubber di almeno cinque centimetri. Classici tweed coniugati in pantaloni a palazzo e gonne lunghe, inserti di foglia d'oro su giacche e mostrine. Abiti con motivi baroccheggianti in tipico stile '800. E poi il glooming impeccabile e di forte impatto, code di cavallo strette da un fiocco abbondante di taffetà cangiante e parrucca post-punk dai colori sbiaditi come il rosa, il lilla, l'azzurro e il verde.

Un applauso al re, che nel nome dell'avanguardia riesce a mantenere nell'Olimpo il regno di un marchio senza fine, Chanel, appunto...e se questa è la Cruise collection, un piccolo assaggio, che cosa dovremo aspettarci dalla main che verrà presentata ai primi di Ottobre? Lunga vita al Re: Karl Lagarfeld.
