Style Notes: Camel Coat

When I was a baby, I remember, my mother had a big and warm Max Mara's coat, in my mind there's this beautiful image. Was the end of '80. That coat now, is in all fashion magazine's covers.
The camel coat is back! Elegant and pratic, is the most important item for the cold season.
Was 1981 when Max Mara create an icon: 101801 is the code; the double breasted in beaver's wool with kimono sleeves. From the beginning don't stop to be a best seller allover the world. In the last Vogue Fashion Night Out, the maison dedicated a special project to celebrate, with photo galleries, the importance of this cult coat.
2010: We've seen in several fashion shows. Chloè presented it double breasted,
the propose with the denim shirt is fresh and new, Aquascutum designed long as far as the ground, Max Mara belted on the waist in smooth cashmere, Prada instead used shiny leather, Alexander Wang as a cape, Phillip Lim give us a fashion trick: roll up the slevees to reveal color contrasting of the knit.

Quand'ero piccola, mi ricordo che mi madre aveva un enorme e caldo cappotto di Max Mara; nella mia mente è un'immagine bellissima. Era la fine degli anni '80. Ora quel cappotto, è sulle copertine e su tutte le riviste di moda.
Il cappotto color cammello è tornato! Elegante e pratico é il capo più importante della stagione invernale.
Era il 1981 quando Max Mara propone quello che sarebbe diventanto un'icona: 101801 é il suo nome in codice, un doppio petto in beaver di lana con le maniche a kimono. Dall'inizio non ha mai smesso di essere un best seller in tutto il mondo. Nell'ultima edizione di Vogue Fashion Night Out la Maison ha deciso di presentare uno speciale progetto per celebrare con delle photogalleries l'importanza di questo cappotto di culto.
2010: lo abbiamo visto in molti fashion show. Chloè lo ha presentato a doppiopetto abbinato ad una camicia in denim che ha reso l'immagine fresca e giovane, Aquascutuum lo ha voluto lungo fino a terra, Prada lo ha immaginato in pelle lucida, Alexander Wang lo ha reinterpretato come una cappa, e Phillip Lim ci ha suggerito un trucco: arrottolare le maniche per mostrare il colore a constrasto della maglia che si indossa sotto.
